On Friday, December 5 at 6 pm will takes place the 1st Smart City Hackathon at the Darmstadt University of Technology in the Robert-Piloty building S202 room A126. The event is directed towards everybody with interest in developing and testing ideas.
The Hackathon themes are innovative ideas for traffic, electricity and environment in Smart Cities. The Telecooperation Lab and The Urban Institute provides data of traffic flows from a traffic control system, the electricity consumption data of street lights and environment sensors to build and test ideas.
The Telecooperation Lab researches on the subject of Ubiquitous Computing with special interest in Smart Cities. The Telecooperation department of the Darmstadt University of Technology supports the transfer of research results into products and business models. The Smart City Hackathon creates an opportunity for students and interested parties to do research-oriented product development while having an open space to test creative ideas.
The Urban Institute [ui!] is a American-German startup incubator, which is specialized in Smart City related business development. The Smart City Hackathon creates the opportunity for interested parties to work in teams on ideas, get to know the [ui!] and the [ui!] get to know you.
