A123 Systems has filed a lawsuit against Apple company for poaching top engineers to build a large-scale battery division, which fuel rumors that the tech giant is planning to enter the electric car market.
A123 Systems, the maker of lithium batteries for electric cars, recently has filed a lawsuit against Apple claiming that the iPhone maker is pursuing its employees to establish a rival battery operation since June last year. Earlier the suit was reported on the legal website law360.com
As the data on LinkedIn, it shows that Apple has been trying to rectuit automotive engineers and experts, at a significant pace. Also searching on LinkedIn profiles turns up more than 60 former Tesla employees now employed by Apple.
Apple began entering into the automotive industry by launching its in-car dashboard system CarPlay last year.
