Rays Power Infra Pvt Ltd, one of the biggest solar EPC companies in India, announced its foray into wind and transmission business with the commissioning of 160 MW project in Jaisalmer.
It plans to invest Rs 200 crore in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Karnataka by 2016.
"The company commissioned a 160 MW wind project, at a single location in Jaisalmer, along with a 220 KV sub-station and transmission line," Rays Power said in a statement.
These were set-up in a record time of 120 days. The project will add to the already existing 3,324.045 MW wind projects in Rajasthan, thereby helping the state government to meet its renewable purchase obligation.
Rays Power Infra has till now completed Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) of more than 100 MW in the solar sector.
