New Delhi: India News in collaboration with India Smart Grid Forum (ISGF) kickstarted the Smart India summit in Harte and Garter, Windson, Royal Berkshire, UK in the propitious presence of Navtej Sarna, the Indian High Commissioner to the United Kingdom.
During the event, while deliberating upon the need to instigate smart city planning, Mr Sarna spoke about the hindrances for a smart, secure and sustainable city.
"It’s a good idea to do this conference and if you take a look at the program, it has all the aspects of what we are going to call smart cities, has been taken care off, whether its water, environment, technology or health aspects," said Sarna.
Member of the counselling unit of Bharatiya Janatya Party (BJP) and former Cabinet Minister, Murli Manohar Joshi, who was also present in the summit, applauded the endeavour of iTV network Managing Director Kartikeya Sharma, for organising such an event. Mr Joshi talked about obligation of smart populist for smart cities. He also said there was a need to focus on Infrastructure, education and health facilities.
Kartikeya Sharma also discussed about transforming India and spoke of orchestrating all efforts to transform India.
British Parliamentarians, spokesmen of British Government and chief of all national global organisation working in the field of infrastructure will be present in the convention that will last till July 20.
