LUCKNOW: Under the Smart City project, an online water supply network will be developed in Kaiserbagh that will not only enable the corporation to keep an eye on water consumption in each household but also alert it about leakage, improper distribution and water scarcity in particular localities, at just a click.
The system will be based on supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA), a technology used for gathering and analysing real-time data.
To implement it effectively, as many as 15,000 houses have been identified in Kaiserbagh and seven other wards in the vicinity where water metres will be installed. Along with meters, 250 sensors will be installed to include all areas under SCADA system.
