Chinese firm Xinjiang Goldwind Science & Technology (HKG:2208) has seen the first panels be installed at the site of the 20-MW White Rock solar project in New South Wales, Australia.
Dan Ford, Goldwind Owner’s Representative for the project, stated that civil works on the boundary fence and access and internal roads are now concluded, and that significant progress has been made in structural work on frames and pile installation.
The particular solar park will consist of a total of 72,000 panels, deployed at a site near the town of Glen Innes. It will be co-located with the White Rock wind farm, thus forming Goldwind’s second hybrid complex.
UGL Pty Ltd, part of the CIMIC Group Ltd (ASX:CIM), is acting as an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor.
