India : energy conservation awards declared p7

The government has declared the Energy Conservation awards for 2017.

A press note issued here on Saturday said award for large-scale consumers went to Cochin Shipyard and to Tata Global Beverages, Munnar. The citation in this category went to Synthite Industries, Kochi.

In the mid-level consumers category, the awards went to the Milma unit at Kozhikode and the citation to the Milma unit in Wayanad.

In the buildings category, the award went to Vaidya Ratnam P. S. Warrier Ayurveda College at Kottakkal. The citation went to Kumarakam Lake Song Resort owned by Idassery Enterprises Private limited.

In the institutions category, the award went to the Peelikkode grama panchayat. The citations in this category went to the electrical department of Southern Railway, the Palakkad division and the Government Polytechnic, Meenangadi.

In the individual category, Jayabharath College of Management and Engineering executive director Nisam Rehman won the award.

The awards would be given away at 2 p.m. on December 15 by Electricity Minister M. M. Mani at the Energy Management Centre.
