World : Advisory council looks forward to smart city ideas

MELAKA’s Smart City Advisory Council hopes to transform the state into an ideal, safer, smarter and greener place in tandem with 4th Industrial Revolution, says its chairman Khoo Poay Tiong.

Khoo said new ideas were needed for Melaka to be on a par with other historical cities.“I would also like to encourage local graduates to work with the state government as your contribution can help Melaka reach its goal of becoming a smart city,” he said after chairing the Smart Internet of Things (IoT) Roundtable at Universiti Teknikal Malaysia (UTeM) technology campus in Ayer Keroh here. Khoo also encouraged local industries to submit their ideas and proposals by email or contact the council on how they could help transform the state for the better.
