Start Time 2020-08-20 16:00 (IST)
End Time 2020-08-20 18:00 (IST)
Description

Electricity use in India is projected to triple by 2040 driven by economic growth, higher average income and better income distribution, the rapidly increasing use of electric applications (including EVs), population growth and urbanization. To become future ready and yet remain within the sustainable envelop of Net Zero CO 2 Emissions, targeted at the national level by 2050, distribution utilities will need to control losses, enhance investments in smart metering, digitise for higher operational efficiency, broad base the skill set of employees and adopt a flexible and consumer friendly approach to providing comprehensive energy services. This requires a major transformation and enhancing technical, financial, and managerial capabilities of the distribution utilities. ISGF and RTI are pleased to announce a focused webinar for policy makers and DISCOM leaders in states, their advisors, think-tanks and financing agencies. The objective of webinar is to kick-start the process for restoring financial stability of distribution utilities and address key steps to achieve that such as – What strategies can be deployed? What are the options for broader restructuring? What innovations can be attempted, within existing legal and regulatory framework? Is privatization the answer, as GoI’s recent plan suggests? If so, what are the enablers for privatization? What investments and technologies are relevant and how to prioritize them? International investors, keen to participate in India’s energy transformation, will find it useful for developing investment plans and strategies.

After Registration you will receive a link to join the workshop on your Email id.
